Denison Libraries do not charge fines for most overdue materials. However, patrons may receive a bill for failing to return an item. If something unusual happens, like a lost book or system delay, our team will help resolve it on a case-by-case basis. We encourage all users to return items on time.
Automated notices (e.g., due date reminders, overdue notices, and pickup alerts) will continue through the legacy systems until they are retired.
Please note that notices may be delayed or reflect incomplete information during the manual tracking window between June 10–25, 2025. If you’re unsure about the status of an item, reach out (libprimo-group@denison.edu); we’re here to help.
You can log in to MyCONSORT through June 10 to check your due dates and fines.
After June 10, new loans may not appear in your account, as circulation will be managed manually during the transition.
If something looks off, email us (libprimo-group@denison.edu ). We’ll work with you to make it right.
You will continue to have full access to:
Denison’s physical collections
Licensed databases and e-resources
Streaming content
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services
The only exception is a pause in OhioLINK borrowing, which will take place from May 23 through June 27, 2025. During that window, we encourage you to use Interlibrary Loan to request materials.
The move to Primo involves some behind-the-scenes work that will temporarily affect how library accounts and borrowing are processed. This section outlines what to expect between now and the system launch on June 27, 2025, and what we’re doing to support you during the transition.
