Denison University Archives & Special Collections is a resource center where you can find historic and rare items that you likely won't find anywhere else. We assist all kinds of people who are looking to use our collections, such as:
The University Archives specializes in documenting the history of Denison's students, alumni, faculty, staff, departments, and administration. This includes photographs, University publications, letters, meeting records, old policies, student scrapbooks, and more.
The Special Collections focuses on collecting rare, limited edition, and/or out-of-print books, like medieval manuscripts, artists' books, rare Bibles, and historic encyclopedias.
This summer, the library will be undergoing significant renovations. Additionally, the Archives staff schedules are variable during the summer due to a number of considerations, such as sabbatical, vacation time, and other scheduled time away from the office. Because of these limitations, we cannot guarantee that we will be open or accessible on a regular basis, such as in summers past. For now, visitors can make individual appointments to access the University Archives & Special Collections by emailing email@example.com. Regular operational hours will return at the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year.
