As we can see the percentage of people participate increase from 2020 to 2021 (from ~67% to ~72%). Also, the number of people using license is larger in 2021 compare to 2020.
We can see that in 2020, license has some effects on the total and the average download numbers, where there are 2351 total downloads of license papers compare to only 40 total downloads of non-license papers and on average, papers with license are downloaded many more times (186 more times on average) than a paper with no license. The opposite thing happen in 2021, where no-license papers got downloaded more on both total and average numbers.
